"We are waiting for the village to appear so we can fully acknowledge our sorrows.” - Francis Weller, The Wild Edge of Sorrow When a significant person in our life dies, our grief can feel as big as the ocean. Many of us feel lonely and isolated in our grief. Yet experts agree: We are not meant to grieve alone. A supportive group can be like a lifeboat as we swim through the choppy waves of grief and loss in the aftermath of the death of a loved one. This group series invites you to be seen, heard, and companioned in your loss and to learn about yourself as you journey through grief. Time will be set aside for sharing and receiving/giving support to each other, psychoeducation on grief, tools and strategies for managing grief, and rituals to help metabolize feelings of loss and grief. |
