Therapy Group For Childfree Women in Mid-Life and Beyond (Please note: Due to the COVID-19 pandemic, this group is currently being offered online.)
*Please note: Due to the COVID-19 pandemic, I currently offer therapy via video or phone sessions only. See the Online Therapy page for more information.

I offer compassionate therapy that guides you toward healing at a safe and change-making pace. I am an LGBTQIA-affirming, body positive (HAES) therapist who is committed to bringing a racially and socially just framework
into my work and personal life.

I welcome clients from a variety of backgrounds who are weathering a wide range of struggles, particularly those who may be experiencing the following:
  • Depression, anxiety, and overwhelm
  • Unresolved, chronic stress related to early and prolonged experiences with highly stressful situations (Adverse Childhood Experiences [ACES])
  • Work-related stress, including vicarious trauma and caregiver/activist burn-out
  • Loss or pending loss resulting from a death, divorce/break-up, trauma, loss of job, loss of identity, etc.
  • Grief that doesn't seem to go away or that hasn't had a chance to be heard
  • Unhappy or stressed relationships
  • Feelings of being lost, stuck, invisible, or pushed into the margins; those who are searching for their life's calling or a way to connect more meaningfully with their lives and the greater community.

I work with people who identify as overdoers, perfectionists, caregivers, caretakers, or who feel like misfits in their families and the larger world. Many of my clients feel like they are not "plugged in" to life or are living according to scripts that are written by others. I can help you reconnect to your authentic self, rediscover your true voice, and unearth your unique story.

My work with children, teens, and families exclusively focuses on grief, loss, and traumatic loss (Some examples of this type of loss include: losing someone to suicide, homicide, or accidents; losing a loved one suddenly; or discovering a loved one after they have died).

My approach is rooted in over 20 years of therapeutic work in community mental health. I am an LGBTQ-affirming, body positive (HAES) therapist who is committed to bringing a racially and socially just framework into my work and personal life. I bring an authentic presence to our sessions that incorporates my extensive training and experience working with a variety of situations that have caused suffering, trauma, and pain, and that I have witnessed also ultimately lead to resilience, healing, and positive change.

I host a nonjudgmental space for the telling of your story and offering reflections to deepen awareness and insight, I introduce other techniques including art and dream work and also draw upon my training as a certified yoga therapist to incorporate breathing and body awareness techniques to help you build resources to weather through difficult times and intense emotions. My personal style balances a reflective and deeply-listening presence with a whimsical nature that keeps us open to the creativity of your unique healing process.

Please revisit my site to see continued updates and additional information coming soon.
